S/Sgt. LeRoy D. Cruse S/Sgt. Cruse kept a record of his wartime missions as his outfit flew bombing missions over Germany 1943 – 1944.  His scrapbook included his citations, newspaper clippings of the missions, notes of news from home and a diary where he documented the unit’s actions and his personal emotional experiences.  S/Sgt.
